Have you ever been in a major panicky-frenzy kind of state after seeing the ginormous mountain of work on your desk? Of course, you have. Sometimes, we are so overwhelmed by the number of despicable deadlines and assignments waiting for us, that we end up being confused as to what to do when and when to do what! Well, here are three easy steps to ensure that you have a spot-on perfect timetable that will really be a colossal help for you to get through this diabolical catastrophešŸ˜„

STEP 1: EXCUSE ME, I HAVE PRIORITIES!

Firstly, you need to start dividing your work based on different criteria. For example, Maths is the hardest…let’s do that first! Or maybe, history is the lengthiest, let’s do that later! Over time, you will finally start getting an idea as to what task is really important and what all can be put in the waiting line. My advice, start with the most confusing/new thing first as it is usually time-consuming and also, in the beginning, your brain is jam-packed with fresh brain cells (unlike at the end)šŸ˜Ž If you have something interesting that you want to do first, but it’s not that important, then try to hold the desire and complete that task when you take a small break :)

STEP 2: THAT'S ALL FOR TODAY!

Think you can study for FOUR HOURS without blinking an eye, without turning your head at every single whisper?? Well, most of us can’t! Some of us out there can barely sit attentively for an hour…oh look, a cloud shaped like a bunny!šŸ˜ If you’re the type of person who fits in the second group, then be sure not to pile up too much work to complete at one time. Eventually, you are just going to get bored and go out to do something else. Try dividing your work into short periods and challenge yourself every now and then. Also, try to finish one topic at a go and don’t leave it halfway as once you are out of the zone, it’s hard to get an entry pass back in.

STEP 3: FOLLOW THE GOLDEN BRICK ROAD (to success!)

Lastly, just follow your schedule like your life depends on it! Of course, did your friends come over? Maybe you can complete Art now instead of Maths. A UFO crashed into your house? No problem, just don’t forget to complete the leftover work tomorrow! You can adjust a few things here and there according to your convenience. If you’re bored then just put on some music, or try to study with a friend (I think that is virtually impossible) You gotta be all in or otherwise all out. And honestly, the feeling of crossing out items on your list is better than eating a giant sizzling brownie all by yourself!šŸ˜‡

Making a timetable is really essential to have a well-organized life, especially for a student. You know exactly when you are available and when you're not. Now you know, what to do when and when to do what. You're actually enjoying your breaks and not feeling guilty about the incomplete work. There is no one-size-fits-all perfect timetable, it's a beautiful, original creation made just for you! And as rightly said by Benjamin Franklin - "For every minute spent in organizing, an hour is earned."

Hi, thanks for stopping by!

I’m Anahita Dubey — a girl with a playlist for every emotion, despite being hilariously tone-deaf. Life, to me, has always felt like a messy first draft — tangled in debate notes, half-packed travel bags, marathon routes, physics equations, and movie quotes I probably take way too seriously.

Through this blog, I’m writing my way through the chaos — sharing stories from the beautiful, uncomfortable, soul-stretching moments that have shaped me. I write not because I have all the answers, but because I’m still figuring it out. I believe there's something universal in our personal messes, and maybe you'll see a bit of yours in mine.
