Ahoy, matey! Are you overburdened with work? Do you feel like 24 hours a day is not enough? Well, 'ere's a simple yet life-changin' rule that there will 'elp ye get through the mountain o' work sittin' on ye desk...waitin' fer ye, showin' to the sky all o' a sudden like a deadly nightmare! Lads and lassies, I present ye, yer savior, the mind blowin' rule o' FIRST THINGS FIRST! Ye ready, let's go!!šŸ“ā€ā˜ ļø

WHAT BE IT? #confusedpirate

The FIRST THINGS FIRST rule is quite straightforward. It means that you need to complete a particular task at the time it is given. Then only you can conquer the enemy ship of WORK😈 (cue the dramatic music). The first step is to start by making a list. A list helps in organizing you thoughts and tells you how much work you have left. A small tip to be kept in mind while making a list is that the most important thing, or the thing with the earliest deadline, should ALWAYS be on the top. The second step is much more easier. Start doing your list, it's no good to you just lying in a corner. The third step might be a little hard as there are some tasks which we absolutely loathe doing but still need to do them. Finish what you started. A habit that can never go wrong. The last step is....JUST WORK HARDšŸ˜€

WHAT ABOUT ME OLD MATE MR.PROCRASTINATOR?

Mr. Procrastinator is a very evil person, but the only one who can defeat him is YOU. Strong will and determination...that's all you need. Also, think about the majestic feeling that you get when you cross off an item from your list (that's real happiness). Maybe after one or two tasks you can reward yourself...go raid the kitchen, or listen to that One Direction song...whatever you feel like. Just don't get distracted, set an alarm to come back to what you were doing...that usually helps me. After sometime you will realize that one by one, hour by hour, your list is finally getting shorter...you can do that happy dance nowšŸ˜†

So basically, to sum it all up, the rule of FIRST THINGS FIRST is a really effective tool of time management. It's like a blessing in disguise...you might get demotivated, but try to get on track again, 'cause that track can take you places that you never imagined you could reach. If somedays you get overwhelmed by a long list...divide it into 2-3 parts and then do it. Don't wait for the "right time". The time is always right, it's you who might be wrong. And as rightly said by Benjamin Franklin - "You may delay, but time will not."

Hi, thanks for stopping by!

I’m Anahita Dubey — a girl with a playlist for every emotion, despite being hilariously tone-deaf. Life, to me, has always felt like a messy first draft — tangled in debate notes, half-packed travel bags, marathon routes, physics equations, and movie quotes I probably take way too seriously.

Through this blog, I’m writing my way through the chaos — sharing stories from the beautiful, uncomfortable, soul-stretching moments that have shaped me. I write not because I have all the answers, but because I’m still figuring it out. I believe there's something universal in our personal messes, and maybe you'll see a bit of yours in mine.

Let the posts
come to you.
